You used to be able to buy an electric hot water bottle from the Original Gift Company which proved very popular with users of this site. Unfortunately the product was discontinued but now we’ve found a replacement!
According to the details, to use the hot water bottle you plug it into the mains for around 15 minutes after which the wire can be removed (an indicator light tells you when it’s ready. The bottle will then stay warm for up to 6 hours. The idea is that this saves the hassle of having to pour the boiling water from the kettle into the hot water bottle and therefore is safer than the conventional style bottle.
